Tewksbury Education Foundation Raises the Roof & $50,000 at its Annual Barn Dance
The event, which was attended by about 225 guests, included dinner, open beer & wine bar, a specialty sangria bar, dancing to the live music of Hub Hollow, live and silent auctions, and the drawing of the TEF’s 50/50 raffle. Meghan and Matthew Presutti, the latter a member of the Tewksbury Township Board of Education, won the TEF’s Annual 50/50 Raffle and donated their $2750 take to the TEF.
“We are just thrilled by the success of this year’s Barn Dance,” said Tewksbury Education Foundation (TEF) President Linda Osterman. “This accomplishment rests on the shoulders of so many dedicated, generous and tireless volunteers, directors, community members, local businesses and Tewksbury Schools administration and faculty. Our co-chairs, Leon and Angela Weiss, did a fantastic job spearheading this monumental effort. It truly takes a village, and our ‘village’ rallied for our schools Saturday night and the children of Tewksbury will be the better for it.”
Proceeds from the Barn Dance will directly support Tewksbury Schools through the TEF by funding 2012-2013 school year Cultural Arts & Science programs, technology enhancements, teacher mini-grants, staff development and an endowment fund so that Tewksbury students will benefit tomorrow from the TEF’s work today.
