Think you know what your kids are doing online? Think again…
Unlike us, our kids are growing up online…it’s not going away. So as parents, we need to understand three things:
- What are our kids doing online?
- What are they exposed to online both intentionally and unintentionally?
- And most importantly, how do we make sure our kids are safe from liability and from predators while online?
The Tewksbury Education Foundation is sponsoring a series of three assemblies to educate both students and parents about the realities of cyber safety. On Wednesday, June 4th, Sgt. Tom Rich will hold two assemblies at OTS…one to the 5th and 6th graders and a second assembly to the 7th and 8th graders. The focus will be a frank discussion about the sites they use and how to be smart and safe while online. These two assemblies will be targeted specifically to each of those age groups with their online activities in mind.
That evening, Sgt. Rich will speak to parents in our community about cyber safety. We strongly encourage you to take this important opportunity to educate yourselves about how you can keep your kids safe online. Please join us.
