Winter News from the TEF
The Tewksbury Education Foundation’s (TEF) 2012/2013 Annual Giving Fund Campaign– which appeals to the entire community to contribute monetary donations that will go directly to Tewksbury schools, teachers and students through the TEF –is still going strong.
The Campaign’s goal is 100% participation from families with children in Tewksbury Schools, as well as participation from Tewksbury residents and businesses.
The TEF Directors – who individually and consistently contribute to the drive each and every year – urge the entire community to participate. Seven hundred donations – no matter how modest or considerable — can truly enrich the academic experiences of Tewksbury’s children.
Through your generous donations, the TEF has filled the gap where Tewksbury Schools’ budget has fallen short since its inception in 1996 by funding Cultural Arts & Science residencies and assemblies for every grade, teacher mini-grants, special grants, staff development and technology.
Just this month alone, the TEF has funded a three day in-classroom residency and assembly with noted slam poet Gayle Danley for the 6th grade; a week-long science intensive called Wonders of the Universe from the Pearl Observatory for the 3rd grade; a two day math residency from SPECTRUM Math for the 6th grade; a 5th-8th grade assembly performance of “Romeo and Juliet” from the respected theatrical company the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; and a four day in-classroom language arts residency from The Write Stuff for the 5th grade.
The TEF holds only two major fundraisers each year: the Annual Giving Fund Campaign and the Barn Dance. Please don’t miss this opportunity to invest in our children’s futures. To make an Annual Giving Campaign donation or for more information about the Campaign, the TEF and TEF programs, please visit www.tewksburytef.org or find us on FACEBOOK. The TEF can accept donations in the form of checks, cash, Visa or online through PayPal.
Also, please consider taking advantage of company charitable giving matching programs. Many employers will match donations their employees make to charitable institutions such as the TEF, a registered non-profit organization. A quick telephone inquiry to a company’s HR department can easily turn a $25 into $50, $50 into $100, $100 into $200…
Thank you for supporting Tewksbury’s children through your generous contributions to the Tewksbury Education Foundation’s 2012/2013 Annual Giving Fund Campaign.
